Origins: From a Finnish garage to a global engineering platform
In a small Finnish workshop, Reijo Karppinen began developing hydraulic generators, launching what would become DYNASET Oy. Over four decades, the business evolved from a founder’s aspiration into a diversified manufacturer of hydraulic generators, power washers, and compressors with customers across multiple industries.

The company now employs about 130 people and operates beyond its home country, with teams in Canada, Germany, India, China, and Australia. The portfolio has expanded to more than 40 products, widely used in construction, rescue services, and the process industry. A robust partner network ensures Dynaset products reach customers worldwide.

Dynaset emphasizes its distinctive technology platform and a strong focus on meeting customer needs. Its team combines deep machinery know-how with the ability to integrate devices with a broad range of machine brands, enabling solutions tailored to specific applications. All products are designed and manufactured in Finland, with carefully selected subcontractors and components, and each unit undergoes thorough testing before it leaves the factory.
Electrification alongside hydraulics to meet evolving demand
While hydraulics have long defined Dynaset, 2025 brought a major expansion into electrical product families. The move complements existing hydraulic offerings to address a rapidly changing machinery landscape. The company also adopted a new slogan to reflect the broader scope: Partner of Your Machine, underscoring collaboration, reliability, and ongoing support for customers.
Leadership and a family-owned path forward
Leadership within the Karppinen family has transitioned in recent years. Anni Karppinen now serves as CEO, with her brother Atte managing after-sales and participating in management and board activities. The business remains family-owned, with the intention to continue that structure if it serves employees and customers. The founder has highlighted the role of family entrepreneurship as a core strength guiding long-term decisions.
Looking ahead: growth through innovation and partnerships
Dynaset says it will keep a close watch on the evolving machinery sector to guide product development.
